These units will last anywhere from 5 to 10 years with reasonable care.. They are powered by two AAA batteries which last about a month with average use, and use microcassette tapes. These tapes carry a 10 year warranty and hold 30 minutes of dictation on each side. A protective carrying case is also included. |

DigiScribe Digital Dictation System: - Crescendo Systems
DigiScribe records on conventional and optical disk drives providing hundreds of hours of on-line storage. A wide range of input devices are available for doctors to input dictation. When replacing an existing digital system, DigiScribe can be configured to work with most of the old input stations, allowing clients to continue using equipment already in place and in the same manner. By installing our Transcribe Card into networked PCs, both voice and data can be transferred over the network. The same card allows at-home transcriptionists to move voice and data over telephone lines via modem. The Transcribe Card creates a fully integrated workstation thus eliminating the need for transcribe stations, dedicated wiring, and extra ports. This reduces costs, while improving the use of system resources. |
